Tyler State Park – Tyler State Park offers a wide variety of environmental education, recreation, and interpretive programs. Through hands-on activities, guided walks, history hikes, and workshops, participants gain appreciation, understanding, and develop a sense of stewardship toward natural, historical, and cultural resources. Curriculum-based environmental education programs are available for schools and youth groups. Teacher workshops are also available.
Newtown Historic Association – The Newtown Historic Association stimulates interest in, preserves, celebrates and shares the historic significance of both Newtown borough and township. Newtown holds “Washington’s Headquarters,” which was the house George Washington used this house as his headquarters after the Battle of Trenton in 1776. It was rebuilt on the same foundation from much of the same material and was one of the most famous structures in Newtown that resulted in the formation of the Newtown Historic Association.
