Radius Global Solutions Credit Report Errors

The Kim Law Firm represents consumers whose accounts are being reported inaccurately by Radius Global Solutions, or who are being pursued for a debt that is not theirs, was already paid, or is too old to be legally enforced. If Radius Global Solutions is calling, mailing letters, or reporting a collection account on your credit report, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) give you real protections. This page explains who Radius Global Solutions is, how to reach it, and what to do if the account is wrong.

Who is Radius Global Solutions?

Radius Global Solutions is a third-party debt collection agency headquartered in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. It collects past-due accounts for banks, credit-card issuers, healthcare providers, utilities, and other creditors, and it reports collection accounts to the credit bureaus. Radius was formed from the combination of several older collection agencies, so the account it is pursuing often originated with a creditor you dealt with years ago.

Is the Radius Global Solutions account on your credit report even yours?

Before you pay anything, ask whether the account is accurate and whether it is even yours. Debt collectors work from bulk data that is frequently wrong, and that is where your strongest rights lie:

  • It is not your debt (identity theft). If someone opened the original account in your name, a Radius Global Solutions collection entry can be a sign of identity theft, and you should not have to pay it or let it stay on your report.
  • It is someone else's account (a mixed credit file). If the debt belongs to another person with a similar name or Social Security number, you may have a mixed credit file, one of the most damaging reporting errors.
  • It was already paid or settled. Collectors routinely report balances on debts that were already paid, settled, or discharged in bankruptcy.
  • The details are wrong. An incorrect balance, a wrong date, a debt reported twice, or an account re-aged to look newer than it is are all credit-reporting errors you can challenge.

Each of these is a potential violation of the FCRA, which can entitle you to have the item corrected or deleted and to recover money from the parties responsible, often at no cost to you.

Is Radius Global Solutions legit, or a scam

Radius Global Solutions is a real collection agency, not a scam. It is a third-party agency based in Minneapolis, and it works for the banks, hospitals, utilities and telecom companies that own the accounts rather than buying the debt itself. What it says about your account is only as good as the file the client handed it.

That answer settles less than people expect, because the question behind it is usually a different one: is this particular debt real, and is Radius Global Solutions allowed to do what it is doing about it. A legitimate company can still report an account that is not yours, chase a balance you already paid, pursue a debt it cannot document, or contact you in ways the FDCPA prohibits. Legitimate is not the same as correct.

Scam callers do impersonate real collectors. Treat a call as fraud, whatever name it gives, if the caller demands payment by gift card, wire transfer or cryptocurrency, threatens arrest, refuses to name the original creditor, or will not put the debt in writing. A genuine collector has to send you written validation of the debt at or within five days of its first contact, and you are entitled to ask for it.

How do I stop Radius Global Solutions from calling me

The FDCPA lets you tell any debt collector in writing to stop contacting you. Once it has your letter it must stop, except to confirm that it received the request or to tell you it is taking a specific step such as filing suit. Send the request by mail, keep a copy, and keep proof of delivery. Short of a full stop, you can also say that a time or place is inconvenient, or that your employer does not allow these calls at work, and the contact has to move or end.

Stopping the calls does not remove the account from your credit report and it does not stop a lawsuit. If the entry is wrong, the dispute and the credit reporting are the parts that decide the outcome, and they are handled separately from the phone.

Can Radius Global Solutions sue me

Radius Global Solutions collects accounts that belong to someone else, so when a lawsuit does arrive over one of these debts it usually comes in the name of the original creditor or of a debt buyer that later purchased the account, rather than in the collector name on your caller ID. That difference matters for who has to prove what, but it does not change what you have to do.

Do not ignore the papers, whatever name is on them. Ignoring them allows a default judgment without anyone proving the case, and a judgment is what opens the door to wage garnishment and bank levies. You usually have a short window to file a written answer, often twenty to thirty days depending on your state and court, and that deadline runs from service rather than from the date on the complaint. Answer, make the plaintiff prove that the debt is yours and that the balance is right, and check your state statute of limitations, since suing on a time-barred debt can itself violate the FDCPA.

How to contact Radius Global Solutions

Radius Global Solutions is based in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area (website: radiusgs.com). Because a collector's mailing address and phone numbers change periodically, confirm the exact address on your most recent letter before responding, and send any dispute or validation request by mail so you keep proof.

Radius Global Solutions and consumer-protection law

Radius Global Solutions draws a steady stream of consumer complaints in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's public Consumer Complaint Database over its collection and credit-reporting practices, and it is frequently named in Fair Debt Collection Practices Act lawsuits. Source: CFPB Consumer Complaint Database. A high complaint volume does not prove your account is wrong, but it is a good reason to demand that Radius validate the debt before you pay.

How to dispute and remove Radius Global Solutions from your credit report

  • Request validation in writing within 30 days of first contact. Demand proof of the original creditor, that Radius Global Solutions has the right to collect, and an accurate accounting of the balance.
  • Dispute the tradeline in writing with each credit bureau (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) and directly with Radius Global Solutions under the FCRA, identifying every inaccuracy.
  • Check the reporting dates. If the account was re-aged or is being reported past the seven-year limit, say so specifically.
  • If the debt resulted from identity theft, create a report at IdentityTheft.gov and submit it with your dispute so the account can be blocked.
  • Keep copies of everything. If Radius Global Solutions or the bureau verifies an item you have shown to be false, that failure to investigate is itself a claim.

Who we can help and who we can not

We represent consumers whose Radius Global Solutions account is being reported incorrectly — a debt that is not yours, belongs to someone else, was already paid, or is inaccurate. That is the kind of Fair Credit Reporting Act problem we handle. We are not the right firm if you simply want out of a debt you genuinely owe, or want help settling a legitimate balance. Our focus is fixing inaccurate reporting and recovering damages for the harm it causes.

How The Kim Law Firm helps

If you disputed a Radius Global Solutions account and it was not fixed, or the damage is already done, we can help. The FCRA and FDCPA require Radius Global Solutions and the credit bureaus to genuinely investigate your dispute; when they do not, they can be held accountable for actual damages, statutory damages, and your attorney's fees. Those laws let us recover our fees from the company that broke the law, so your case review is free and we work on a no-fee-unless-we-win basis. When the name on the tradeline is not the name of the company that owns the debt

Radius was assembled out of earlier collection businesses, and it is not alone in that. Consolidation, rebranding and multiple registered trade names are ordinary in this industry, which is why so many collection accounts show a company the consumer has never dealt with and cannot connect to any bill. The name on the report is a starting point, not an answer.

  • Enhanced Recovery Company — which appears on reports as ERC and as Enhanced Resource Centers, three labels for one Jacksonville collector.
  • Credit Control Services — a Norwood, Massachusetts contingency agency that is regularly mistaken for a differently owned collector with a nearly identical name.
  • Resurgent Capital Services — the servicer behind accounts owned by LVNV Funding and other Sherman Financial Group affiliates, so the owner and the collector are rarely the same name.
  • Sequium Asset Solutions — a Georgia agency whose placements have often already passed through other hands.
  • The CBE Group — large enough to collect for banks, utilities, healthcare providers and government agencies alike, under one name.

When a tradeline names a company you do not recognize, the validation response should identify the original creditor, the account number it derives from, and the current owner of the debt. If those do not line up, or the collector cannot produce them, you have the substance of a Fair Credit Reporting Act dispute. Put it in writing to the bureau and to the furnisher, and keep the dates.

Frequently asked questions about Radius Global Solutions

Who does Radius Global Solutions collect for? Radius Global Solutions collects past-due accounts on behalf of creditors and, in some cases, debt it or an affiliate has purchased. If you do not recognize the account, demand written validation before paying.

Is Radius Global Solutions a scam? Radius Global Solutions is a real collection company, not a fake operation, but a real company can still report an inaccurate or unprovable debt. Always demand validation in writing.

How to tell if a call, letter or text is really from Radius Global Solutions

Radius Global Solutions collects for banks, credit card issuers, healthcare providers, telecoms and utilities, and it calls from a wide block of toll-free numbers — which is why most people arrive here after a call from a number they do not recognize. Below are the identifiers on record for Radius, so you can compare them against whatever you received.

Phone numbers and contacts Radius Global Solutions publishes

  • Consumer line in the company's own privacy policy: 844-329-0973, also written (844) 329-0973 or 8443290973.
  • Consumer email address the company publishes: consumersupport@radiusgs.com.
  • Number listed with the Better Business Bureau: 888-287-5711, also written (888) 287-5711 or 8882875711. The BBB listing also shows a fax number of 952-831-7356.

Other numbers people report as Radius Global Solutions

Radius appears to place outbound calls from a large pool of toll-free numbers, and consumers searching for the company most often search one of these: 833-733-1541, 844-473-9192, 833-751-2521, 866-595-2439, 844-847-5759, 833-561-3209, 833-733-1552 and 866-390-2348.

None of those numbers appears on Radius Global Solutions' own website or in its BBB listing, so we cannot confirm the company uses them — some may belong to dialing vendors, and some may belong to a different company altogether. We list them only because they are reported often enough to be worth recognizing. Treat a call from any of them as unverified until you receive something in writing.

The same caution applies to P.O. Box 390915, Minneapolis, MN 55439, which people search alongside the company's name. Radius does not publish that box anywhere we can find, so we cannot confirm it.

Where Radius Global Solutions mails from

  • Corporate address: 7505 Metro Boulevard, Suite 400, Edina, MN 55439. This is the address Radius publishes on its own contact and privacy pages, and it matches the headquarters address in its BBB listing (shown there with the ZIP+4 form 55439-3010).
  • Other offices listed with the BBB: 9550 Regency Square Boulevard, Suite 500, Jacksonville, FL 32225, and 11210 Thompson Avenue, Lenexa, KS 66219. The BBB listing states the company has twelve locations in total, so a letter may carry an address that is not on this list.
  • Payment portal: paymentportal.radiusgs.com. If a text or letter sends you to a payment page on any other domain, that is worth checking before you enter anything.

Numbers and addresses that are not on this list

Collection agencies rotate outbound numbers and use third-party dialing and messaging vendors, so a genuine Radius call can display a number the company has never published. An unfamiliar number is not proof of fraud, and a familiar-looking one is not proof of legitimacy.

Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, a collector must identify itself and must send a written validation notice within five days of first contacting you, stating the amount of the debt and naming the creditor. Since Regulation F took effect on November 30, 2021, a collection text must also give you a reasonable and simple way to opt out.

To verify a caller claiming to be Radius Global Solutions:

  • Do not call back the number in the voicemail or text, and do not open a payment link from it.
  • Ask for the written validation notice, in writing, before you discuss or pay anything.
  • Pull your reports at AnnualCreditReport.com and check whether a Radius Global Solutions tradeline actually exists. A demand for immediate payment on an account nobody is reporting deserves real suspicion.
  • Never give bank account or card numbers to someone who contacted you first.

Confirming that the caller is the real company answers only half the question. If the balance is wrong, the debt is not yours, it was already paid or settled, or it was discharged in bankruptcy, that is a separate problem — with remedies under the FDCPA and, where the account appears on your credit report, under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Questions people ask about Radius Global Solutions

What is Radius Global Solutions?

Radius Global Solutions, LLC is a third-party debt collection agency headquartered at 7505 Metro Boulevard, Suite 400, Edina, Minnesota. It collects consumer accounts on behalf of banks, credit card issuers, healthcare providers, telecom companies and utilities. If Radius is contacting you, it generally means an original creditor placed an account with it for collection, or that it is servicing an account for whoever now owns the debt.

Is Radius Global Solutions a real company or a scam?

Radius Global Solutions is a real, licensed collection agency with a Better Business Bureau profile and published corporate offices in Edina, Minnesota. That does not mean every call claiming to be Radius is genuine. Scammers routinely use the names of real collection agencies, so verify the contact against the numbers and addresses the company itself publishes and insist on the written validation notice before discussing payment.

What phone number does Radius Global Solutions call from?

Radius publishes 844-329-0973, also written (844) 329-0973 or 8443290973, in its own privacy policy, and its BBB listing shows 888-287-5711, also written (888) 287-5711 or 8882875711. Consumers also report calls from a much wider pool of toll-free numbers that the company does not publish. Because collectors rotate outbound numbers and use dialing vendors, an unfamiliar number is neither proof of fraud nor proof of legitimacy.

What address does Radius Global Solutions mail from?

The corporate address Radius publishes is 7505 Metro Boulevard, Suite 400, Edina, MN 55439. Its BBB listing also shows offices at 9550 Regency Square Boulevard, Suite 500, Jacksonville, FL 32225 and 11210 Thompson Avenue, Lenexa, KS 66219, and states the company has twelve locations in total, so a genuine letter may carry an address that is not on the published list.

Will Radius Global Solutions remove a collection account from my credit report?

A collector is not required to delete an account simply because you pay it, and paying usually changes the status to paid rather than removing the tradeline. What the law does require is accuracy. If the account is not yours, the balance is wrong, the dates are wrong, or the debt was paid, settled or discharged in bankruptcy, you can dispute it with the credit bureaus, and an item that cannot be verified as accurate must be corrected or deleted.

Radius Global Solutions sent me a text message. Is that allowed?

Collectors may contact consumers by text, but Regulation F, effective November 30, 2021, requires that a collection text give you a reasonable and simple method of opting out. Treat links inside collection texts with caution: never open a payment link from a text, and instead reach the company through a website or number you look up independently.

How do I dispute a Radius Global Solutions account?

Dispute in writing and keep a copy. Send a written dispute to Radius at the address it publishes, and separately dispute the tradeline with each credit bureau reporting it. Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, a collector that receives a timely written dispute must stop collection activity until it mails verification of the debt, and under the Fair Credit Reporting Act the bureaus and the furnisher must investigate what you send them.

What can I do if Radius Global Solutions is reporting inaccurate information?

You can dispute the item with the credit bureaus, and if the inaccurate information survives the dispute you may have claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act against the furnisher and the bureaus, as well as claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for the collection conduct itself. Successful FCRA and FDCPA claims can include actual damages, statutory damages and attorney fees, which is why these cases are usually handled without an up-front fee to the consumer.
